Israeli Captivity Survivor Rom Breslavsky Reflects on 1,000 Days Since October 7 Massacre

Rom Breslavsky, a survivor of captivity in Gaza, spoke at the main rally in Tel Aviv marking 1,000 days since the October 7 massacre. Breslavsky recounted being held captive for two full years and described the 1,000 days since the attack as an eternity, equating them to 1,000 reincarnations within that period. He emphasized the ongoing personal battle he faces, stating that while the war may seem over and everyone else is home, his own war of recovery and struggle with post-traumatic stress disorder continues daily. Breslavsky shared the emotional toll of his treatments, which often bring him to tears and near collapse. He also paid tribute to his 11 fallen comrades from that day, expressing how much he misses them, the work they did together, and the normal life they had before October 7.
