Israeli POW Rom Breslavsky Reflects on 1,000 Days Since October 7 as Ongoing Trauma
Rom Breslavsky, an Israeli soldier who survived captivity, spoke in a Ynet interview marking 1,000 days since the October 7 attacks. He described the experience as a continuous trauma, saying, "My seventh day repeats every day, again and again. Each day adds another trauma to the collection. A thousand days since 7/10 feels like a thousand new post-traumas." Breslavsky emphasized the isolation felt by survivors, noting that "No one is with us when we wake up screaming at night, no one is with us when we get flashbacks in the middle of life." He highlighted the severity of post-traumatic stress disorder, revealing that he is recognized as 100% disabled by the IDF. As an active advocate, Breslavsky aims to raise awareness about invisible disabilities, stating, "My advocacy is to show the world what invisible disability is."
