DeRozan, who was released by the Sacramento Kings this year, is viewed as an alternative or a potential teammate alongside LeBron James in certain scenarios. This past season, DeRozan averaged 18.4 points and 4.1 assists per game during a disappointing year for the Kings. He is recognized as a strong mid-range shooter but has struggled in the playoffs.
