Petah Tikva Honors 23 Local Artists with New Stars on Cultural Walk of Fame
Petah Tikva is expanding its Walk of Fame with 23 new stars dedicated to local artists who have significantly contributed to Israeli culture. The ceremony will take place on Thursday, July 16, at the city's Cultural Hall, bringing the total number of stars to 77. These stars honor creators born, raised, or who left a lasting impact on the city.
Leading this year's honorees is the esteemed media personality and creator Tzofit Grant, marking another major milestone in her prolific career. Other notable recipients include singers Liran Danino and Liron Lev, veteran actress Tikva Aziz, choreographer Renana Raz, actor and presenter Ben Adam, actor and poet Yossi Tzabari, and actor Itay Polishuk. Founders of the internationally successful metal band Orphaned Land, Yossi Sassi and Moti Sovietzky, will also be commemorated.
Additional honorees are composer and arranger Avi Elbochar, musician Aryeh Wolintz, legendary ballet dancer and teacher Miriam Kofman, singer Idan Yaskin, and well-known stand-up comedians Rami Stern and Erez Shalem. A special honorary star will be awarded to Aryeh Yemini, who managed the Cultural Hall for decades and was instrumental in developing Petah Tikva’s cultural life.
The event will also pay tribute to three late cultural figures who left a rich legacy: national poet Nathan Yonatan, author and playwright Yigal Mossinson, creator of the iconic "Hasamba" book series and the play "Kazablan," and singer Dalia Amihud, a pioneer of Mediterranean music in Israel.
