Vizhnitz Rebbe from Beit Shemesh Leads Major Sabbath Event in West Bank's Emmanuel
The city of Emmanuel in the West Bank experienced a significant spiritual event last weekend with the arrival of the Vizhnitz Rebbe from Beit Shemesh, who spent the Sabbath there for rest. This marked a milestone in the religious development of the Haredi community in the area, as he was the first Hasidic Rebbe of such stature to come specifically to lead the Sabbath for the entire city.
During the Sabbath prayers and festive meals, large crowds from various backgrounds within Emmanuel gathered, alongside many guests who traveled from outside the city to be inspired by the Rebbe's presence. The Rebbe leads a young and growing Hasidic community in Emmanuel, currently comprising nearly two prayer groups of Hasidic scholars who have settled there in recent years.
He strongly supports the settlement in Emmanuel, viewing it as an excellent solution to the housing shortage in the Haredi sector. The Rebbe actively encourages sending more scholars and families to establish homes in the city, while community activists work diligently to expand the Hasidic presence there.
