Vizhnitz Rebbe Leads Unique Tish and Blesses Hasidim Ahead of New Year

On August 23, 2026, a series of significant Hasidic events took place across Israel, highlighting the vibrant spiritual life within various Hasidic communities. In Ashdod, the brit milah (circumcision) of the grandson of the Tshernobyl Rebbe was celebrated, with Rabbi Yehuda Treitel Ernster and other family rabbis honored, and the mohel was Rabbi Maor Hachaim Rosenboim.

In Beit Shemesh, the Vizhnitz Rebbe conducted a special Shabbat tish (festive gathering) at the Brad Beit Midrash in Ramat Beit Shemesh D, followed by a kiddush levana (sanctification of the moon) ceremony in the city streets. Later, the Rebbe visited Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, a prominent halachic authority, during Shabbat.

The Vizhnitz Rebbe from Monsey prepared for a historic pilgrimage to Meron in the Land of Israel, leading hundreds of students and followers. He issued strict guidelines forbidding public internet use, cameras, and visits to the sea during the trip to maintain spiritual focus.

Other notable events included the wedding of the youngest daughter of the Kasan Rebbe in Beit Shemesh, attended by hundreds of Hasidim and leading rabbis from various sects. The Lelov Rebbe celebrated Shabbat in Bnei Brak for a family occasion, and the Belz Hasidim held a large pidyon haben (redemption of the firstborn) ceremony in Jerusalem with thousands participating.

Additionally, the Sanz-Kloiznburg Rebbe from Borough Park visited Jerusalem’s Chief Rabbi Shmuel Amar, exchanging Torah discussions and receiving a personalized Torah book. Across the country, numerous Hasidic gatherings marked spiritual milestones, weddings, and commemorations, reflecting the deep communal bonds and religious devotion ahead of the Jewish New Year.
