Man Arrested for Assaulting Yavne Municipality CEO During City Council Meeting

A man in his 40s from Yavne was arrested on Monday after allegedly assaulting the CEO of Yavne Municipality during a city council meeting. According to reports, the man disrupted the meeting and, after being asked to stop, attacked the CEO, who was present at the event. Police from the Yavne station in the Central District were called to the municipality complex following reports of violence during the council session. Initial investigations revealed that the suspect assaulted the CEO, causing minor facial injuries. The CEO of Yavne Municipality is Levi Itach. The police detained the suspect at the scene and took him for questioning at the station. After the investigation, he was imprisoned, and the police plan to request an extension of his detention from the court to continue the inquiry. The police stated they will continue to act decisively against any form of violence to ensure public safety and order.
