Hasidic Yeshiva Students Receive Rare Blessing from Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch in Jerusalem
As the Torah world prepares for the Bein Hazmanim vacation period, many rabbis and yeshiva heads are away on retreats, but Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch continues his rigorous daily study and halachic work without interruption. His residence in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem remains a hub for hundreds of yeshiva students, rabbis, and halachic seekers who come daily for his guidance and blessings.
This week, a group of Hasidic yeshiva students visited Rabbi Sternbuch’s home, creating a moving scene. Upon entering his study, the students were visibly moved to see the great halachic authority immersed in Torah study. They recited together the rare blessing "Baruch Atah Hashem... Shechalak Michochmato Lirayav" (Blessed are You, Lord... who has shared His wisdom with those who fear Him), a prayer traditionally said for great Torah leaders.
Following the blessing, the students spontaneously broke into a heartfelt singing of a well-known Shabbat melody, filling the room with emotion. Rabbi Sternbuch warmly blessed them in return, wishing that they ascend higher in Torah and Hasidut and remain protected from harm during the upcoming vacation days. This rare and touching encounter left a strong impression on all present, underscoring the ongoing dedication to Torah study even during the vacation period.
