Hainan Airlines Resumes Direct Flights Between Israel and China in August
Chinese airline Hainan Airlines will restart direct flights from Beijing to Tel Aviv on August 3 and from Shenzhen to Tel Aviv on August 4. Each route will operate three weekly flights using Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline has reopened its booking systems starting early August. Hainan Airlines has long been a key carrier for business travelers and tourists between Israel and China, and its return reintroduces strong competition and direct access to the Far East after months of disruptions caused by regional security tensions.
The resumption of flights to Shenzhen, known as China's Silicon Valley, is particularly significant for Israeli technology, electronics, and manufacturing sectors. Since the suspension of direct flights to China, Israeli travelers and businesspeople have had to rely on lengthy connections through Europe or the UAE, extending travel times and increasing costs. Hainan Airlines' return is expected to improve travel efficiency and reduce expenses for these sectors.
This development marks a notable improvement in Israel-China air connectivity, benefiting both commercial and tourism exchanges. The airline's renewed service is set to enhance bilateral relations and economic ties between the two countries.
