Hainan Airlines Resumes Direct Flights Between Israel and China in August
Hainan Airlines, the Chinese carrier, is set to resume direct flights to Israel starting next month, marking a significant expansion in travel options between the two countries. Beginning August 3, the airline will operate three weekly flights from Beijing to Tel Aviv, followed by three weekly flights from Shenzhen to Tel Aviv starting August 4. This return is expected to notably increase the availability of direct flights to China, a route that has seen limited options recently, primarily served by El Al.
The renewed service is particularly beneficial for business travelers, importers, exporters, and tourists, as the Beijing and Shenzhen routes also connect passengers onward to other destinations in East Asia through Hainan Airlines' network. This move comes amid a gradual return of foreign airlines to Israel after a period of reduced operations due to security concerns.
The increased competition and flight frequency are anticipated to provide travelers with more choices and help expand seat capacity on these popular routes. The resumption of Hainan Airlines flights is viewed as a positive development for both leisure and business travel between Israel and China.
