About 100 Israeli Settlers Enter West Bank Village Kifl Haris, Five Arrested After Clashes
In the early hours between Monday and Tuesday around 3:00 AM, approximately 100 Israeli civilians, identified as Shuvu Banim followers, entered the West Bank village of Kifl Haris in the Samaria region. This incursion led to confrontations with local Palestinian residents. Upon receiving the report, Israeli Defense Forces, Border Police units from Judea and Samaria, and Ariel police station officers were dispatched to the scene. By the time security forces arrived, the Israeli civilians had already left the area.
At the site, Palestinian vehicles were found damaged and stones scattered around. Ariel police promptly launched an investigation, which revealed the identities of several individuals involved. Subsequently, five suspects, aged 16 to 20 and residents of Jerusalem, were detained near the Hizma checkpoint. They were taken in for questioning at the police station. The incident highlights ongoing tensions in the region and the involvement of settler groups in provocative actions within Palestinian villages.
