Fatal Car Crash on Route 80 in Negev Kills Young Man, Two Others Critically Injured
A deadly traffic accident occurred on Monday on Route 80 near the Arara junction in the Negev, involving two vehicles. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) arrived at the scene to find three injured individuals. A man approximately 25 years old was trapped in his vehicle, unconscious and suffering from severe multi-system trauma. Despite rescue efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Medical personnel also treated and evacuated two other victims to Soroka Medical Center. A 20-year-old man was in critical condition with severe multi-system injuries and was undergoing resuscitation during transport. Additionally, a 29-year-old man was taken to the hospital in moderate condition with injuries to his back and limbs.
MDA paramedics Tripi Elhawashla, Madlen Abu Arar, and Ahmad Aasem described the accident as very serious, involving two cars. After extricating the trapped victim, they conducted medical assessments but could not save him. The other two injured individuals continue to receive hospital care.
