Israel Opens Central Emergency Facility for Handling Casualties in Crisis Situations
The Israeli Ministry of Religious Services inaugurated a new central emergency warehouse designed to enhance national preparedness for handling casualties during crises. The facility, opened on Monday, consolidates equipment, technological tools, and an operational control center under one roof to enable rapid response and coordination with security forces, local authorities, and burial societies across the country.
The warehouse was built to advanced logistical standards to ensure operational continuity even in complex emergency scenarios. It aims to shorten response times and improve the respectful and efficient management of casualties in accordance with strict religious standards.
At the inauguration ceremony, Ministry Director-General Yehuda Avidan affixed mezuzot to the building's entrances, marking its official opening. He emphasized the moral and national duty to be prepared for all scenarios, stating, "We pray that we will not need this facility, but our responsibility is to be ready at the highest level of preparedness." The project reflects months of work by the ministry to implement lessons learned and strengthen Israel's emergency response capabilities.
