Bournemouth's Alex Hymans Suspended in England, Set to Join Fiorentina on Loan

Alex Hymans, the 21-year-old right-back currently suspended from English football, is expected to leave Bournemouth and join Fiorentina on a season-long loan. The move comes amid an ongoing investigation by the English Football Association into allegations that Hymans sent inappropriate messages to a 15-year-old girl, which surfaced in May through social media screenshots. Following the revelations, Hymans was removed from Bournemouth's squad for their match against Fulham and missed the final three games of last season.

Hymans has already undergone medical examinations with Fiorentina, and the loan deal is anticipated to include a purchase option worth 20 million euros plus bonuses. Bournemouth views the temporary transfer to Italy as a suitable solution while the external investigation continues, with no final decision yet made regarding the player's case.

Hymans joined Bournemouth last summer on loan from AC Milan, with a mandatory purchase clause triggered in February that cost Bournemouth 19 million euros plus up to 5 million euros in potential bonuses. Should Fiorentina exercise their purchase option, Bournemouth expects to make a profit of about one million euros and retain 30 percent of any future transfer fee.

The English FA has barred Hymans from participating in domestic matches pending the outcome of the inquiry into the allegations. No official ruling has been announced so far, and the investigation remains active.
