Beitar Jerusalem Partners with Liga Leumit Club Ironi Modi'in for Youth Player Development
Beitar Jerusalem and Ironi Modi'in, a club competing in Israel's second-tier Liga Leumit, have reached a preliminary agreement for a focused cooperation involving the loan of young players. This arrangement, agreed upon after meetings between Beitar Jerusalem's management and Ironi Modi'in's professional and administrative staff, aims to centralize the development of Beitar's youth graduates by placing them primarily at Ironi Modi'in for consistent playing opportunities.
This new strategy marks a significant shift for Beitar Jerusalem, which previously dispersed its young players across various lower-division teams, complicating continuous monitoring of their progress. By concentrating most of their promising talents under one roof in the Liga Leumit, Beitar intends to create a stable growth environment closely coordinated with the parent club.
Already, two players loaned last season, Sagie Israeli and Yan Yusupov, received substantial playing time at Ironi Modi'in. The cooperation is already taking shape this season, with three youth academy graduates, Yan Shikot, Yam Katz, and Alex Sotskov, regularly training with Ironi Modi'in. The trio participated in a recent friendly against top-tier M.S. Ashdod, where Katz and Sotskov notably scored, showcasing their potential.
Almog Cohen, who oversees Beitar Jerusalem's youth department, is involved in managing this collaboration, which reflects the club's commitment to nurturing its young talent through structured and professional pathways.
