Israeli Police Arrest Six Illegal Residents Including Gaza Man in Galilee Operation

On July 6, 2026, Northern District police conducted an operational sweep in the Galilee region targeting suspects wanted for shooting and criminal activities. During the operation near the city of Arraba, officers spotted several suspicious individuals attempting to flee. The six individuals, identified as illegal residents from various West Bank cities including Hebron, Jenin, Qalqilya, and a resident of Khan Yunis in Gaza, were apprehended. They were taken for questioning at the police station. Concurrently, police located and arrested the 48-year-old homeowner where the suspects had been staying. Following the investigation, indictments were filed against the homeowner and the six illegal residents at the Galilee District Prosecutor's Office in Acre Magistrate's Court, along with a request to detain them until the conclusion of legal proceedings.
