Israeli Influencer Regrets Appearing with Controversial Streamer After Antisemitism Revelations

Shira Klein, an Israeli influencer, expressed regret after appearing on a live stream with Braden Eric Peters, known as Clavicular, a controversial international streamer accused of antisemitism. Klein said she was invited to join the stream by other influencers involved in Israeli public diplomacy efforts, who described the event as a way to show the "real Israel" to the world. She admitted she did not know Peters personally before the invitation and only recognized his name from her younger brother, who admired him.

During the live stream, Klein noticed a woman sitting with Peters who appeared uncomfortable and anxious, which Klein later described as a tense atmosphere among the audience, who seemed mesmerized by Peters. Klein said she barely interacted with Peters during the broadcast and only spoke briefly. After the stream, she posted a story where Peters rated her, which initially received positive reactions from friends.

However, as reports about Peters' antisemitic views and disturbing behavior surfaced, Klein faced criticism for her association with him. She stated, "If I had known about his views, I would never have approached him," acknowledging her mistake and learning from it. Meanwhile, Peters announced plans to travel next to Russia, another country considered controversial internationally.

This controversy follows earlier backlash against Shira Brown, the manager of the IDF's international TikTok account, who was also criticized for spending time with Peters.
