IDF Officer Eitan Israel Kantman Dies While on Duty in Central Israel

The community of Neria mourns the death of 23-year-old IDF officer Eitan Israel Kantman, a resident of the settlement. Kantman, son of Bania and Naama Kantman and brother to Alqana, Tamar, Yair, Yonatan, and Moshe, was found dead this morning in central Israel. He grew up in Beit El before moving to Neria with his family, studied at the Bnei Binyamin yeshiva in Beit El and later at the Mitzpe Yericho yeshiva, and completed academic studies in computer science at the Academic Institute for Leadership in 2025. He then enlisted in the IDF as a professional academic officer.

The IDF spokesperson confirmed his death and stated that a joint investigation by the Military Police and Israel Police has been launched, with findings to be reviewed by the Military Prosecution. The army has expressed condolences and is supporting the family. The Regional Council head of Binyamin, Israel Gantz, expressed deep sorrow over Kantman's passing, sending condolences to his family and the Neria community, calling it a moment of profound pain.

Funeral and shiva details will be announced later. The community and local authorities are united in mourning the loss of the young officer who served his country.
