IDF Officer Eitan Israel Kantman From Neria Passes Away Tragically at 23
Eitan Israel Kantman, a 23-year-old IDF officer and resident of the settlement of Neria, has died under tragic circumstances, the Binyamin Regional Council announced on Sunday evening. Born to Bania and Naama Kantman, Eitan grew up in Beit El before moving with his family to Neria several years ago. He studied at the Bnei Binyamin high school yeshiva in Beit El and later at the Metzpeh Yericho yeshiva.
Eitan pursued higher education at the Academic Institute for Torah Studies, completing his studies in computer science as an academic officer cadet in 2025. He served as a professional officer in the IDF. He is survived by his parents and siblings: Elkana, Tamar, Yair, Yonatan, and Moshe.
Israel Gantz, head of the Binyamin Regional Council, expressed deep sorrow over Eitan's passing, calling it a moment of profound pain for the Kantman family, the Neria community, and the entire Binyamin region. Gantz extended condolences to the family and friends, saying, "There are no words to comfort the magnitude of this loss. We embrace the entire Neria community in this difficult time. May his memory be blessed."
