IDF Airstrikes Target Hezbollah Militants Transferring Anti-Tank Missiles in Southern Lebanon
At the weekend, Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Unit 91 identified several Hezbollah militants transferring anti-tank missiles within the security zone in southern Lebanon. The militants arrived by vehicle, unloaded the missiles intended to target IDF forces and Israeli civilians, and moved them into a building in the area. After additional militants brought more weapons into the structure and entered it, the IDF conducted an airstrike to neutralize the threat. Secondary explosions were observed following the strike, indicating the presence of weapons inside the building.
On Friday, the IDF also detected a Hezbollah militant operating near an underground infrastructure shaft in the Ali Taher ridge area within the security zone. This militant posed an immediate threat to IDF forces and was eliminated in a precise airstrike. In a separate strike, another suspect traveling by vehicle and threatening forces in the security zone was also neutralized.
The IDF stated that its forces continue to operate in the Ali Taher ridge area to prevent Hezbollah militants from exiting underground facilities and moving freely in the ridge region.
