Anadolu Efes Signs Bruno Fernando with Lucrative Two-Year Deal

Anadolu Efes has secured the signing of Bruno Fernando, a sought-after center who was also targeted by Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer. The Angolan player, who previously played for Partizan Belgrade, chose the Turkish club and agreed to a highly lucrative contract. According to European reports, Fernando will earn approximately 2 million dollars per season over a two-year deal. Anadolu Efes also paid a buyout fee of around 150,000 dollars to Partizan Belgrade to complete the transfer.

Bruno Fernando, aged 27 and standing 2.08 meters tall, has a notable NBA background, having played for Atlanta, Boston, Houston, and Toronto. He moved to Europe for the first time in the 2024/2025 season, signing with Real Madrid. He started the 2025/2026 season with Real Madrid, averaging 4.4 points and 3.4 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague before transferring to Partizan Belgrade, where his performance improved to 8.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in the EuroLeague.

Maccabi Tel Aviv had considered Fernando a major target for strengthening their center position but ultimately lost out to Anadolu Efes, who offered a more attractive financial package. This signing reflects Anadolu Efes's ambition to bolster their roster with experienced international talent ahead of upcoming competitions.
