IDF Kills Hamas Nohaiba Cell Leader Behind October 7 Raid in Southern Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted an airstrike in southern Gaza on April 24, killing Yahya Said Muhammad Hamdan, the head of the Nohaiba cell within Hamas's military wing. Hamdan was involved in the October 7 massacre, having led a raid into the Re'im military camp during the attack. Recently, he had been orchestrating terror operations against IDF forces and working to restore Hamas's military capabilities. The IDF described Hamdan as an immediate threat to troops operating in the area and eliminated him in a precise aerial strike. An IDF spokesperson stated that Southern Command forces remain deployed in the region under existing agreements and will continue efforts to neutralize any immediate threats.
