Maccabi Haifa Welcomes Back Dolev Haziza and Tribante Stewart to Training
Maccabi Haifa returned to Israel on July 9 after a training camp in Hungary, where they played two friendly matches, winning 2-1 against Dundee and drawing 3-3 with Paks. The team came back without Lisb Assat, who is already in England preparing for his debut with Bristol City. Goalkeeper Giorgi Yermakov also returned but is interested in signing with Metalist Kharkiv. Despite reports from Ukraine suggesting Maccabi Haifa might lower financial demands to facilitate the transfer, no official agreement has been reached yet. Additionally, Omri Glazer has not completed his release from Red Star Belgrade, but the club hopes to resolve this soon.
During the camp, Dolev Haziza, Tribante Stewart, Lior Kassa (recovering from injury), and Kenji Hura, who recently played for Curaçao in the World Cup, trained in Israel. All four will join the team’s training sessions now that the team is back in Israel, although Haziza and Stewart are not currently in the club’s future plans. Maccabi Haifa is scheduled to play another friendly on Tuesday against Ironi Kiryat Yam from the National League. Young defender Tomer Lens, recently loaned to Kiryat Yam, is expected to participate in that match.
