Two young men seriously and moderately injured in car crash near Lahav Nature Reserve
Two people were injured today (Thursday) in a car crash near the Lahav Nature Reserve in the Negev. One of them, a 30-year-old man, is in critical condition.
At 10:50 a report was received at MDA's 101 emergency center in the Negev region about a traffic accident involving two vehicles near the reserve. MDA medics and paramedics arrived at the scene and provided medical treatment to a man about 30 years old in critical condition with multiple system injuries, and a young man about 24 years old in moderate condition with injuries to his limbs. The two were later evacuated to Soroka Medical Center, with resuscitation efforts being carried out on the 30-year-old.
"This was a shocking car crash involving two vehicles," said MDA emergency medic Razak Alturi. "One of the injured, a man about 30 years old, was sitting in the vehicle unconscious, with no pulse and no breathing, and with multiple system injuries. We began providing medical treatment, including resuscitation efforts, and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital in critical condition, and we continue to fight for his life. Additional MDA teams evacuated another injured person from the accident, who was moderately hurt."
