US Official Announces Imminent Decision on Israeli Withdrawal Line in Lebanon

A senior US official revealed that a critical decision regarding Israel's withdrawal line from Lebanon will be made in the coming days. According to Reuters, the initial phase of the withdrawal pilot zone is set to launch within days, with additional pilot areas currently being mapped and planned. The US Central Command (CENTCOM) is coordinating with both Israel and Lebanon on the progress.

The official stated that soon there will be outreach to international partners to assist the Lebanese government in effectively restoring sovereignty in these areas, with plans to extend this effort throughout Lebanon. This development follows ongoing tensions and military actions in the region.

Israeli official Israel Katz commented on Hezbollah's recent attacks, noting that the terrorist group initiated two assaults on Israel: one following Hamas's deadly attack on October 7, and another at the start of Iran's "Operation Roaring Lion," during which Hezbollah fired towards Israel under Tehran's directive. Katz emphasized Israel's strong response, which over the past two and a half years has severely degraded Hezbollah's capabilities and leadership, including its chief Nasrallah, whom he described as a key architect of plans to destroy Israel.
