Lebanon Seeks US Help to Ensure Israeli Military Withdrawal Amid Delays

The London-based Arabic newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported that Lebanon has requested American assistance to solidify the outcomes of the "framework agreement" with Israel, focusing particularly on the agreed Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) withdrawals. This request comes amid "worrying indications" from Israel suggesting delays and contradictory actions regarding the withdrawal process. Lebanese sources told the newspaper that during his recent visit to Lebanon, Central Command Commander Brad Cooper laid the groundwork for pilot zones from which Israel is expected to withdraw. Additionally, one of Cooper's senior aides remained in Lebanon to oversee the implementation of the withdrawal.
