Solomon Lifshitz Law Firm Merges with Boutique Insurance Specialist Firm

The established Solomon Lifshitz law firm has merged with the boutique firm of Shay Granot, which specializes in insurance and litigation. Solomon Lifshitz currently employs around 65 lawyers. Attorney Shay Granot will lead the insurance practice at Solomon Lifshitz and become a partner in the litigation department, joining with five other lawyers from his firm. Granot’s firm handles complex local and international insurance and commercial litigation cases, representing many major insurance companies in Israel and worldwide, as well as public and private companies, corporations, and businesspeople.

Founded in 1923, Solomon Lifshitz is now managed by a younger generation of lawyers including Amit Gur, Noam Bar-David, and Itamar Penz. The firm operates from offices in Ramat Gan, Haifa, the Galilee, and Jerusalem. Earlier this year, it added attorney Yonatan Pasi and his team specializing in labor law. Last year, the firm briefly merged with Yossi Levy’s office, but that merger was canceled within months. Solomon Lifshitz is prominent in banking, real estate, transportation, and tenders, with clients such as Bank Leumi, Bank Hapoalim, Mercantile Bank, public transportation companies Kavim and Netiv Express, Mekorot, the Chinese SIPG’s Bay Port, and real estate companies Shikun & Binui, BIG, Tzemach-Hermon, and Bonei Hatichon. It also represents the influential Afifi family holding group in the Arab sector.

The firm’s management stated that the merger with Granot’s office brings unique expertise, broad legal knowledge, and deep connections with leading economic entities, especially in the insurance sector domestically and internationally. This move is part of Solomon Lifshitz’s ongoing growth strategy.
