Israeli Team Assists Venezuela in Earthquake Recovery and Strengthens Diplomatic Ties
The Israeli delegation in Venezuela, active on the ground for ten days, received a phone call from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu who praised their efforts. Netanyahu thanked the delegation commander, Brigadier General Elad Adri, and Israel's designated ambassador to Mexico, Yoed Magen, for their work in both rebuilding earthquake damage and improving relations with the Venezuelan government.
The Israeli team has been operating across several affected areas in Venezuela, focusing on assessing and classifying damaged buildings to aid recovery efforts. Brigadier General Adri explained that the delegation arrived last Wednesday at the Venezuelan government's request to support the country's earthquake rehabilitation. The team includes over thirty members from the Foreign Ministry, Home Front Command, and other IDF units.
Adri highlighted the close cooperation with local authorities and Venezuela's Ministry of Infrastructure, as well as warm interactions with the local Zionist Jewish community. Netanyahu emphasized Israel's extensive experience in managing destruction due to hostile missile attacks and called the Israeli team "number one in the world" for their unique dual role in reconstruction and diplomacy. The mission continues its work to help Venezuela recover while fostering stronger bilateral ties.
