Mother Seeks Justice After Daughter’s Suicide Following Alleged Rape by Boyfriend

Shiran, a 17-year-old girl from central Israel, tragically ended her life after enduring months of distress linked to a destructive relationship with Alex, a 21-year-old man. Her mother, Ruth, revealed that Shiran had filed a rape complaint against Alex, who allegedly assaulted her while she was unconscious and recorded the act on her phone. Despite court-issued restraining orders and protection orders against Alex, the police investigation stalled, exacerbating Shiran’s mental health struggles.
