Israeli Soldier Boards Palestinian Vehicle in Suspected Abduction That Turns Out to Be Couple
On Thursday, Israeli police received a report of an armed female soldier seen entering a vehicle with Palestinian license plates near Beersheba. Fearing a possible abduction, officers pursued the vehicle and stopped it on Route 375 near Beitar Illit. The soldier was found unharmed inside the car. Initial investigations revealed that the soldier and the Palestinian driver are a couple. Both were taken for questioning at a nearby police station, and the soldier's weapon was confiscated. The incident was also reported to the military police for further investigation.
