Israeli MMA Fighter Shimon Smotritsky Trains Wounded Soldiers in Rehabilitation Seminar
In early June, Israeli MMA fighter Shimon Smotritsky secured his second consecutive victory in the Tuff N Uff organization by winning a judges' decision against Ng Defri Stargel. After the fight, he dedicated his win to the IDF soldiers who selflessly defend Israel and its people. Recently, Smotritsky gave back by conducting a training seminar for wounded soldiers affiliated with the "Brothers for Life" association, which supports soldiers injured in combat operations. Smotritsky told Sport 5 that all the participants were combat unit fighters who sustained injuries defending their homeland and that the seminar was part of their physical and mental rehabilitation. He added that the soldiers had watched all his fights, making the experience emotional for him.
Currently, Smotritsky holds a professional MMA record of 13 wins and 5 losses. His last two victories were convincing judges' decisions, marking a turnaround after a previous losing streak. This recent success has set him on a renewed path in his fighting career.
