IDF Opens Route 10 in Southern Israel on Weekends Until August 2026

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that starting today, Thursday, Route 10 in the Paran Brigade area of southern Israel will be open on weekends until August 29, 2026. The route will be accessible from Thursday to Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., specifically between Metzpor Bar Lev and Checkpoint 10/12. However, the route will remain closed on July 16 and 23, with openings only on Fridays and Saturdays during those weekends.

The IDF continues to conduct training exercises in firing zones in both the south and north of Israel. As a result, southern firing zones will remain closed to hikers and visitors. Entry to Route 10 requires presenting identification and registering at the entrance checkpoint.
