IDF Imposes 24-Hour Closed Military Zone in Western Negev
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have declared a closed military zone in the western Negev region starting today (Sunday) at 08:00 until tomorrow (Monday) at 08:00. The order covers the area from the Yad Mordechai junction westward along Highway 34 to the Sha'ar HaNegev junction, and from there westward along Highway 232 to Kerem Shalom. Residents and workers in the affected communities are permitted to enter the zone. The order was signed by Southern Command Chief Major General Yaniv Asor. The IDF emphasized that it is fully prepared and operational in the area during the closure period.
