IDF Declares Closed Military Zone in Western Negev Ahead of Planned Gaza March
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced a closed military zone in the western Negev region starting from 8:00 AM today until the same time tomorrow. The restricted area covers the region from the Yad Mordechai junction westward to Road 34 and up to the Shaar HaNegev junction, as well as from Shaar HaNegev junction westward to Road 232 and Kerem Shalom. Entry will be permitted only for residents and workers within these communities. This measure was imposed due to a planned march organized by the Nahala movement, which intends to enter the Gaza Strip illegally. The IDF emphasized that forces are prepared and deployed in the area to manage the situation.
