Osama Khalaila Signs One-Year Deal with M.S. Ashdod with Option to Extend
Osama Khalaila officially signed with M.S. Ashdod on July 8, 2026, agreeing to a one-year contract with an option for an additional season. The 28-year-old striker, who previously debuted for the Israeli national team and was once acquired by Maccabi Tel Aviv from Bnei Sakhnin, joins Ashdod after a productive season with Hapoel Acre in Israel's second division, where he scored nine league goals.
Before returning to Israel, Khalaila played abroad for Cherkasy in Ukraine and Gabala in Azerbaijan. At Gabala, he was the team's top scorer with 10 goals and contributed seven assists. Upon signing, Khalaila expressed enthusiasm about the new challenge, stating, "I am happy to take on a new challenge in my career, and I hope to do as much as possible of what I love most in the world, which is putting the ball in the net."
