7-Year-Old Girl Dies After Being Hit by School Bus in New York Haredi Neighborhood

A tragic accident occurred this morning in the Haredi neighborhood of Monsey, New York, where 7-year-old Blima Weber was fatally struck by a school bus. Blima was the daughter of Rabbi Israel Ephraim and Eti Weber. Emergency responders from Rockland County, including medics from Hatzalah, police officers from Ramapo, and volunteers from Friends of Rockland, rushed to the scene. Despite the extraordinary efforts of the Rockland Hatzalah medical teams to save her life, Blima was pronounced dead. Following the tragedy, volunteers from Chesed Shel Emet, Metayasim, and Friends of Rockland have been working to ensure proper respect for the deceased and to support the grieving family during this difficult time.
