Google Unveils Pixel 11 Series Launch Date and Key Upgrades for August Event

Google has announced its annual hardware event for August 12, 2026, in New York, where it will unveil the Pixel 11 series. This marks an earlier launch than previous years, signaling Google's intent to lead with its latest artificial intelligence advancements. The event will showcase four new phones: Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, the latter being a notably thinner foldable device with a 5,000mAh battery.

All models will feature the new Tensor G6 chip built on a 2-nanometer architecture, promising significant improvements in AI performance and energy efficiency. A standout feature across the series is the "Pixel Glow," an intelligent LED lighting system around the rear cameras that reacts to notifications and AI activities. The Pro Fold model will measure just 10.1mm thick when closed.

Pricing leaks indicate a rise of about 100 euros per model compared to the previous generation, with the base Pixel 11 starting at 999 euros for the 256GB version. The 128GB storage option has been eliminated across the lineup to better support AI applications. The Pro model is priced at 1,199 euros, the Pro XL at 1,399 euros, and the Pro Fold will exceed 2,000 euros for 512GB and 1TB variants. New color options include Midnight Haze, Pine, and Dune, aiming to enhance the premium feel.

Alongside the phones, Google will also introduce the Pixel Watch 5 and second-generation Pixel Buds Pro, reinforcing its strategy to become a dominant innovator in global hardware markets. The devices will be available for pre-order on launch day and hit stores on August 20, 2026.

This launch reflects Google's push to integrate advanced AI capabilities into its hardware while adjusting pricing to reflect rising production costs, especially for memory and processors.
