Man From Kalansawa Indicted for Raping Acquaintance in Forest

The Central District Prosecutor's Office has filed an indictment against 32-year-old Mohammad Azaba from Kalansawa, charging him with rape. The incident occurred about three weeks ago after a social outing with friends, when Azaba was left alone with the victim in a forest. According to the indictment, after the victim resisted, Azaba violently assaulted her, causing serious injuries. She was evacuated by ambulance to a hospital and filed a police complaint following her release. Meanwhile, Azaba allegedly attempted to persuade her to withdraw the complaint through a family member. The prosecution has requested that the court keep Azaba in custody until the conclusion of the legal proceedings.
