Indian Caregiver Arrested for Alleged Abuse and Sexual Assault of Elderly Woman in Tirat Carmel

An Indian caregiver in her 40s has been arrested on suspicion of abuse, assault, and sexual offenses against an approximately 80-year-old woman she was caring for in Tirat Carmel. The suspect, who has been in Israel for several months and was employed as a caregiver in the victim's home, was detained following a police investigation that began after a complaint was filed.

The police investigation revealed that the alleged offenses occurred over recent months within the victim's residence. The court extended the caregiver's detention until the end of the week as the inquiry continues.
