Justin Smith Leaves Hapoel Jerusalem After Two Seasons, Joins Buducnost Montenegro
Justin Smith, the 27-year-old forward, officially parted ways with Hapoel Jerusalem after two seasons, signing with Buducnost in Montenegro. Standing 2.01 meters tall, Smith completed his contract with the Israeli club and moved to his fifth professional team overall. Originally from Illinois, Smith spent three years playing in Israel, starting with Hapoel Holon in 2023 after going undrafted and playing in the G League for Toronto and Philadelphia. After one season with Holon, he transferred to Hapoel Jerusalem in the summer of 2024. During his tenure with Jerusalem, Smith helped the team reach the playoff finals last season and the semifinals this season, where they were eliminated by Hapoel Tel Aviv. In the most recent regular season, Smith averaged 14.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game, with playoff averages dropping to 13 points and three rebounds per game.
