After an 18-year career in the NBA, French forward Nikola Batum is set to return to Europe, with reports indicating he will join Villeurbanne. The move continues Villeurbanne's trend of notable signings under Tony Parker's leadership, following acquisitions like Silvain Francisco and Armoni Brooks. Batum, 37, has played for four NBA teams including Portland, Charlotte, the Clippers, and Philadelphia. Although past his prime, he is expected to bring valuable experience and shooting ability to both the domestic league and the EuroLeague. In his last season with the Clippers, Batum appeared in 74 games, starting six, averaging 4 points and 2.5 rebounds per game with a 40% three-point shooting rate.
