Netanyahu recounted meeting the Rebbe while serving as Israel's ambassador to the United Nations. Invited by a longtime friend who had become a Chabad Hasid, Netanyahu attended the Rebbe's gathering at 770 on Simchat Torah night, initially intending only to observe but ending up engaged in a 40-minute conversation in Hebrew.
