Young Girl Rescued After Being Trapped Inside Automated Parcel Locker in Kyiv
A young girl became trapped inside an automated parcel locker operated by Nova Poshta, Ukraine's largest delivery company, in Kyiv on a recent morning. The incident began when the girl entered one of the metal locker compartments, which then closed and locked electronically, leaving her unable to open the door from inside.
Emergency services received a frantic call from a worried teenager who witnessed the event and immediately dispatched rescue teams to the scene. Rescuers quickly realized that conventional methods would not open the electronically controlled locker door, so they resorted to specialized rescue equipment and tools to forcibly open the metal compartment.
Video footage from the scene captured the tense moments leading up to the door being breached and the girl being safely removed. Fortunately, the child was unharmed and did not require medical attention. This unusual event has sparked renewed concern about the safety risks posed by automated public facilities, especially when children use them as hiding spots.
