Dog Scared by Fireworks Falls Into 4.5-Meter Well in Kansas City, Rescued Safely
A dog frightened by Independence Day fireworks fell into a 4.5-meter deep well in Kansas City, Kansas, but was rescued unharmed by emergency teams. Local animal rescue services reported that a passerby heard the dog whining from the bottom of the well and alerted veterinary services, police, and firefighters. After a coordinated rescue operation, the dog was safely lifted out of the well.
Following the rescue, the dog was named "Brisket," cleaned of oil and sewage from its fur, and given a serving of brisket meat to celebrate the holiday. The local animal organization stated that Brisket was resting comfortably on soft blankets in an air-conditioned room, likely experiencing calm for the first time in its life. They added that the dog probably ran into the well out of fear from the fireworks but was saved thanks to the quick reporting and cooperation of all emergency responders.
