Netanya Man Eli Peretz Charged with Assault and Multiple Rapes of Partner

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against Eli Peretz, 52, from Netanya, at the Lod District Court. He faces accusations of assaulting his partner motivated by jealousy, as well as multiple sexual offenses. The indictment includes several counts of rape, assault on a partner, and threats.

According to the indictment, Peretz developed an obsessive attitude toward his partner, accusing her of infidelity and isolating her from her friends. He threatened to take everything from her and to evict her from their shared apartment. On one occasion, he assaulted her inside a car and smashed a glass she was holding on the floor.

Despite her resistance and pleas for him to stop, Peretz repeatedly raped her on multiple occasions. The charges reflect a pattern of abusive behavior driven by jealousy and control. The case is now proceeding through the district court system in Lod.
