Israel Leads Global Surge in Demand for AI Freelance Skills with 2,267% Growth
A recent report by Fiverr highlights a dramatic global increase in demand for freelancers skilled in AI-related fields, with Israel showing an exceptional surge. Between November 2025 and April 2026, the demand for expertise in Claude Code, an AI development tool, rose globally by 938%, but in Israel, this figure skyrocketed by 2,267%, approximately 2.5 times the global average. This data is part of Fiverr's 2026 Business Trends Index, which analyzes millions of platform searches and reveals a shift from general AI familiarity to specialized skills that integrate AI into workflows, automation, product development, and rapid launches.
In Israel, the growth extends beyond coding. Searches for AI-generated user content (AI UGC) increased by 1,900%, and demand for promotional videos for SaaS products rose by 1,350%. This indicates that Israeli software companies, startups, and digital businesses increasingly rely on freelancers to quickly produce marketing content, product videos, and digital assets that simplify complex products.
The trend also spans other professional areas such as UI/UX design, which grew by 1,400%, architectural and engineering planning with a 1,767% increase, and Roblox game development up by 1,133%. These sectors share a common need for professionals who can transform new technologies into tangible outputs like code, videos, interfaces, plans, or games. Fiverr notes a transition from AI enthusiasm to practical application, with complementary freelance services like AI automation tools (e.g., n8n AI Automation) rising by 125%, voice agent development by 49%, and Vibe Coding by 61%.
Interestingly, the fastest growth in AI services is in video and animation, with a 278% increase, compared to 94% in software development, 62% in digital marketing, and only 3% in data analysis. Businesses value AI most for visible customer-facing content such as ads, social media posts, product demos, and marketing assets. Despite AI's speed in content creation, human involvement remains crucial, as evidenced by a 36% rise in video editing searches and a 27% increase in short video editing.
