AI Skills Surge Dramatically Across Israeli Job Market, Including Non-Tech Roles
Data from the Israeli job platform AllJobs reveals a sharp increase in demand for artificial intelligence (AI) skills across various sectors, including non-technical fields such as finance, human resources, and education. Liat Ben-Torah Shoshan, head of career services at AllJobs, told 103FM on August 18, 2026, that this trend is evident in job postings and candidate resumes, reflecting a significant shift in employer expectations.
Ben-Torah Shoshan explained that while unemployment rates remain low and job stability is strong with over 34% of positions available on the site, the demand for AI proficiency has grown exponentially compared to previous years. This rise is not limited to high-tech industries but extends to mid-tech and low-tech sectors, where AI tools are increasingly integrated into daily workflows.
She highlighted that roles such as accountants, financial managers, and HR professionals now often require AI tool mastery. The ongoing restructuring in the high-tech sector, including layoffs, has prompted many workers to retrain and acquire AI-related skills to remain competitive. Additionally, the popularity of engineering and electronics studies has surged, driven by the expanding AI field.
Ben-Torah Shoshan emphasized that this AI-driven transformation is reshaping job requirements and career paths across Israel, signaling a broad and lasting impact on the labor market.
