Demand for Claude Code Experts Surges Over 2,200% in Israel Amid AI Boom
The global demand for freelancers specializing in Claude Code has surged by 938%, with Israel experiencing an exceptional increase of 2,267% in the past six months, according to Fiverr's 2026 Business Trends Index. This index, based on millions of searches on Fiverr's platform from November 2025 to April 2026, highlights rapid growth in AI-related freelance services and changing business needs. Companies are increasingly seeking experts who can integrate AI tools into workflows rather than general AI tools themselves.
In addition to Claude Code, demand for AI-driven video and animation services grew by 278% globally. Other notable increases include a 125% rise in n8n AI Automation services, 61% in Vibe Coding, and 49% in AI voice agents. Content creation is leading AI adoption, with AI-generated user-generated content (UGC) video ads searches jumping 265%, and AI video ads up 63%. Human roles remain vital, with video editing demand rising 36% and short video editing 27%.
Social media-related services also saw significant growth: searches for faceless YouTube channel management rose over 230%, YouTube video thumbnail design by 52%, and video promotion by 31%. Instagram marketing services increased by 147%, graphic design by 149%, and Reels editing by 57%. TikTok growth was more moderate, with increases of 26% in marketing and 20% in editing services.
In Israel, beyond the Claude Code spike, AI UGC content searches rose 1,900%, and SaaS product promotional video searches increased by 1,350%, reflecting local software companies' demand for rapid marketing content. Other booming fields include UI/UX design (up 1,400%), architectural and engineering plans (1,767%), and Roblox game development (1,133%).
Fiverr reports a stable number of active freelancers around 380,000 since 2024, despite over 4 million accounts created historically. However, the number of active buyers declined from 4.2 million (2021-2023) to 3.1 million in 2025, while average spending per buyer rose from $302 at the end of 2024 to $356 in early 2026. This shift reflects Fiverr's strategy to focus on larger projects, business clients, and expert freelancers, deprioritizing smaller tasks easily replaced by AI. The platform's algorithm now favors verified accounts, agencies, and Fiverr Pro services to attract higher budgets.
Since early 2026, Fiverr's stock has fallen 46%, partly due to AI-driven changes disrupting the software market. Fiverr, founded in 2010 with eight categories, now offers over 750 service categories, illustrating the platform's expansion amid evolving AI trends.
