Suspect Dies After Being Shot by Police in Bat Yam Knife Incident
On the morning of May 10, 2026, a suspect who reportedly charged at police officers armed with a knife on Hashkama Street in Bat Yam was shot by the officers and later died from his injuries at Wolfson Hospital. Medical personnel declared his death after he was evacuated in critical condition. Earlier, police received a report about a man armed with a knife running toward a police unit operating in the area. According to the police, the officers identified an immediate threat and responded swiftly by firing at the suspect to neutralize and arrest him.
