Israeli Man Charged for Carrying Loaded Glock Pistol in Ashkelon

The State Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against 23-year-old Lior Elias from Netivot at the Be'er Sheva District Court. Elias was apprehended several weeks ago while driving on Eli Cohen Street in Ashkelon, carrying a loaded Glock pistol. The weapon was found concealed in the passenger door compartment of his vehicle, loaded with six bullets in the magazine and one in the chamber. Police also discovered spare clothes and a motorcycle helmet alongside the firearm. The prosecution requested that Elias remain in custody until the conclusion of legal proceedings, emphasizing that the gun's readiness for immediate use indicates a willingness to employ it.
